Merry Christmas!

(This is our Christmas Card. )

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Love, The Bakers

Pictures from the Run... a little late

I had such an amazing time running with these girls!
I totally get it now! It was too fun being in the same hotel and just getting to hang out. The run itself was so great. I ran the last 6 miles with Kaylynn who ran the full marathon..she was impressive to say the least. But, I refuse to apologize to all all those who were "silently cursing me" for my excitement and energy and it wasnt it just you Kay, Maren admitted to hating some Liz too. :) I was just having too much fun... all those people telling us how great we were. Thats cool.

Fun with Friends....

We had dinner with our Friends Pedro and Courtney
a couple weeks ago and we ended up singing some
Kareokee. Brad thought Pedro was too funny as he
sang "Ignition" by R Kelly. "Beep Beep"!! Good Times.

Matt Wezel is getting married too!!! He is the 2nd guy from the Right. Wetzel is one of Brads best friends and we are super excited for him.
No word on date yet!

In the middle is my best friend in the Whole world Kelly Shiel.

Liz is running? Why?

I am such a dork. I am running 5.7 miles on Saturday in a relay at the Cal Marathon. I started running 1.5 months ago but am still a nervous wreck!

These girls run 26 miles and I am freaking out about 5.7?? The Relay leg distances are: #1 = 5.9 miles, #2 = 7.6 miles, #3 = 7.0 miles and #4 = 5.7 miles. (ME!)

I have the shortest leg which is last so everyone will probably being slowing down by then but I am still anxious. Anyway, I am going to do it and i will be very proud of myself. The website says everyone gets a medallion. That is the only thing I am looking forward to.

This is what Brad snacks on at night...

Those are baked beans in the bowl. He does not eat one thing at a time either. He takes a bite of beans then a gulp of superfood, then throws in some Wheat Thins for that added punch. This picture does not show the handfuls of M&M's he usually finishes off with (thanks to Jenna's Nice house warming gift.)
Anyway... it makes me laugh (and like i want to throw up.)

Not your ordinary Thanksgiving...

Two of the many dolphins we saw!!

Can you believe the size of those scallops?

Wet suits are just not that cute!

Well, unless your Brad....
Cards...

Bradeezy and Blakedeezy...
Brad and I were invited last minute to join some of our friends on a boat trip to the Channel Islands. Our freinds JT and Amber have a family that are real adventure seekers. They do so many fun trips like this. Anyway, they had some extra spots so invited us to join!
It was amazing!!! We drove down to Santa Barbara Wed night and boarded the boat.

There were about 30 of us on board an 80 foot boat. There were 6 crew members. 4 guys and 2 galley girls who were two of the best cooks ever! They made a full Thanksgiving dinner on the boat! It was awesome. Most of the people on the boat were Scuba certified so they were able to catch some amazing fresh seafood like Lobsters, munk fish, bass and scallops. Brad and I only snorkled but were still able to get fresh mussels and swim with the seals. I took naps, read my books and played cards the rest of the time!

On our trip back to land we saw abou 150 dolphins!! It was so neat. If anyone is ever interested in doing a trip like this let me know. They Charter the boat every Thanskgiving and are usually looking for addt'l people to join in the fun!! More pics to come!

We are moving.... again.

We are moving again and I cant wait! We have been living in San Jose for the last 6 months but the commute has proved to be too much for both Brad and I so... we are moving to Redwood City where Brad can take a 30 Minute bullet to SF and I can get to my office in less than 15 minutes. Its going to be great! Most of our friends live with in 10 minutes of our new apartment so that will be great too.

Saturday is the big day. Our last move took us just under 2 hours (thanks to Peter Taylor!! WE love PETER!) so we are hoping things go just as smoothly this time! Wish us luck!!

Hey Lizard... its Lizard!

I had such a fun weekend (last weekend)...hanging with
some of my old college girlfriends. Liz is on the left and
"G" is on the right. I haven't laughed so hard in such a long
time. Liz is one of the funniest people you will ever meet and
Gloriana is so genuine, its overwhelming at times.

Below is Liz's husband Mike and adorable baby Owen.
You can check out there blogs which I have links to on the left.

Our First Earthquake...Rock and Roll!

Wow!! Our first Earthquake...it was pretty amazing. Brad and I just could not believe what was happening. Brad described it as feeling like he was "riding a wave". We both wished is had lasted just a little bit longer so we could have really taken it all in. I am sure there will be a next time.
No damage, but a good reminder to make sure our 72 hour kits our stocked.

Happy Halloween...Tell me your all time favorite costume!

Here I am dressed up at Lucy and my friend Paul on the far left
was Ricky Ricardo. He was the perfect Ricky!

Growing up my Mom always made our costumes for us. She would start in September by taking us to the fabric store to pick out a pattern and fabrics. Our basement would be tranformed into a costume making factory and she would work day and night making costumes for all 4 kids!!
It was such a fun time.
The picure above is me as a slice of watermelon. I was in 6th grade. I won the school costume contest for most creative. I am a winner.

p.s That hair is hot dont you think???

The Bachelor...thanks Erin!

http://www.thebachelorrecaps.blogspot.com/

If you are a fan of the Bachelor you need to check out this blog.
This lady is too funny. Here is one my favorite quotes from her blog....

"“Come to my house for a pool party.”WHOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO!!! The scream that could be heard for miles. It didn’t dawn on me, other than the fact that she’s from Crazy Town, why Hillary was making such a huge deal about this date. We find out later that she is the only one who hasn’t seen our Bachelor without a shirt.I guess there is reason to celebrate. I’ll erase one crazy mark by her name."
